HOW TO A-S-K IN PRAYER!

HOW TO A-S-K IN PRAYER

According to Psalm 34:15, with God you never get a busy signal, you are never put on hold and you never get a recording . . . the Lord listens to you and He cares about your needs.  When it comes to talking to God, in prayer, we don’t always get immediate answers but because of God’s prayer promise we know we are heard. Another prayer promise is Matthew 7:7. In this verse Jesus gives 3 keys to prayer.

KEY #1: A - SK SIMPLY

Ask simply and expect a response . . . God wants us to ask in faith (expecting the Lord to answer).

· What does “simply” mean?

· What does “faith” mean?

KEY #2: S - EEK  DAILY

To seek brings discovery. You will discover in God’s Word, His promises, and His blessings for you. Check out Jeremiah 29:13.

Search for a deeper understanding of how God wants to relate to you.

· What have you discovered about God?

· How has your discovery help you in prayer?

KEY #3: K - NOCK  CONTINUOUSLY

· What does “continuously”  mean? Continuous knocking gets results . . . it means don’t

give up, don’t give in, and don’t give over . . . Keep the faith in your Source!

Continuous prayer calls for discipline and that takes:

· DESIRE

· DECISION

· DETERMINATION

Here’s what sticks out like a sore thumb: If you don’t know what to say or how to pray, don’t worry. Talk to God like a friend. He hears your prayers, and He doesn’t give you a grade on how “good” it is. Your words directed to God will always make sense to Him.

REMEMBER: PRAYER MOVES THE HAND THAT MOVES THE WORLD!
