READY: “There is nothing impossible with God” -Luke 1:37
SET: These two words are words full of adventure and faith -
“what if?” I’ve been thinking on these words since 2006 began
and these questions keep coming to my mind. Let me share them
with you so you can give them some thought.
What if this is the year of new beginnings? New beginnings
like: receiving Jesus as your Lord and Savior or confessing your
sins and rededicating your life to Him or stop looking back and
start looking up to Jesus as the Author and Perfecter of your
faith (Hebrews 12:2). . . What if?
What if this is the year that your prayers are answered?
Prayers believing that your friends will come to Jesus . . . the
year you conquer bad habits and bad attitudes . . . the year God
restores your relationship with your family . . . What if?
What if this is the year true revival breaks out on your
campus? Revival would make this year a year of forgiveness . . .
a year of breaking down barriers . . . What if?
What if this is the year of personal evangelism? It’s been
said that 75% of American teens have never heard the plan of
salvation and that 160 million Americans don’t go to church . .
. What if this is the year for personal soul winning? . . . What
if?
Consider two more words: “Why Not?” According to Luke 1,
“There is nothing impossible with God” (vs.37). Impossible is
just a word some use, who find it easier to take what they've
been given rather than to change it. Impossible is not a fact .
. . it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration . . . it's
a dare. Impossible is potential . . . Impossible is temporary.
1 John 4 says, “Greater is He who is in you then he that is
in the world” (vs.4). With God in you nothing is impossible!
Why? Because nothing can stop His power. Why? Because it’s
ALMIGHTY POWER – the prophet says that God holds the universe in
the palm of His hand (Isaiah 48:13)- It’s AMAZING POWER – once I
was lost but now I am found . . . by God’s amazing grace, by
God’s amazing love, by God’s amazing power – It’s AVAILABLE
POWER – power is worthless if it’s not available! God is in you
and so is His almighty, amazing, and available power.
By the power of God, Jesus becomes your salvation from the
curse of this world . . . by God’s power, Jesus becomes the
sanctuary from the cares of this world . . . by God’s power,
Jesus becomes the separation from the call of this world –
Praise God!
Let’s make 2006 the year we declare “Why Not?” and live the

way in your heart and life? 2. Are you willing to step out in
faith, believing that God is with you and that His power is in
you? 3. Do you want to experience God working through like never
before? 4. If so, then what’s it going take?

OVERTIME: Lord, let this be the year of “Why Not?” in my
life. Let me experience the fullness of Your power . Amen.
